Western Digital is expanding its popular range of external hard drives with the My Passport Elite, which it describes as its "top-of-the-line" model.

Available in either 250GB or 320GB variants, the Western Digital My Passport Elite costs from £113.

The drives are designed for consumers and business users to take out and about with them and have a 2.5in form factor, solid, shockproof casing and are USB-powered. This means they do not need to be plugged in to a mains outlet in order for files to be copied to them or read from them.

The Western Digital My Passport Elite drives are offered in a choice of colours: silver, red, blue or brown.
