Brother has unveiled the MFC-990CW - an inkjet printer that features Bluetooth connectivity so users can print photos directly from their mobile phone without the need for a PC.

The MFC-990CW is one of five new models being launched by Brother, which offer the ability to scan, fax and print from one machine. Ranging in price from £79.99 to £229.99, all of the printers have a print resolution of 6,000x1,200 and an optical scanning resolution of 1,200x2,400. They also benefit from PictBridge technology, which allows users to print directly from a digital camera without the need for a PC, and a USB 2.0 port.

The top-of-the-range MFC-990CW also features a 4.2in LCD screen. Measuring 468x375x180mm, the MFC-990CW costs £229.99 and is capable of a printing speed of 33ppm (pages per minute). The printer also comes with a handset, so users can make calls from the device.
