Logitech is showing off a range of remote controls for media centre PCs, the most notable new product being the diNovo Mini - a handheld QWERTY keyboard designed for those who connect their PC to a TV.
The palm-sized clamshell device includes most standard keyboard features, including hotkeys for media players and web browsers, as well as page-up and page-down buttons that allow people to scroll when surfing the web and zoom in and out of documents and images. It connects via Bluetooth 2.0, giving it a range of at least 30 feet. It's designed for thumb-based data entry, and the keys are large enough for typing short messages, entering passwords and running short Google searches.
The diNovo Mini has two modes - click a switch and the keyboard's backlight turns Orange to signify that it's configured for typing emails and sending instant messages; hit it again and the keyboard backlight turns green to indicate it's ready to be used as a media centre PC remote control. Logitech's spokesperson said the device also works with Sony's PlayStation 3.
The diNovo Mini is due to launch in the US next month for $150 (£75). A European launch will follow shortly, although UK pricing has yet to be revealed.
