HP has unveiled a range of Photosmart printers that features touch sensitive technology allowing users to print using the LCD display located on the front of the printer.

The £199 HP Photosmart Premium is the top-of-the range multi-function printer that offers printing, scanning and faxing capabilities. It features an 8.9 cm Touchscreen and has a Wi-Fi connection. Together the components allow users to view, edit and print lab-quality photos from an online album at Snapfish using just the LCD display.

The HP Photosmart Premium benefits from single ink cartridges that can replaced when necessary. It also offers Bluetooth and Ethernet connectivity and a built-in duplex printing function.

The printer is joined by the HP Photosmart Plus with a 6.1cm touchscreen and the HP Photosmart which comes with or without wireless connectivity and benefits from a 3.7cm LCD display with touch sensitive buttons on the left and right hand side.

All three of these printers also come with four single inks, while the new Photosmart C4680, which also has a 3.7cm LCD display, uses traditional black and three colour cartridges.

All of the new HP Photosmart printers feature built-in memory card slots and the HP Photo Print Gadget that places an icon on a user's desktop and allows them to drag and drop photos onto the icon to start the printing process.

HP also offers iPhone and iPod Touch users an app that can be download from the iTunes App Store to allow them to print images and documents straight from their PC to the new HP Photosmart printers that have a Wi-Fi connection.

Prices start from £79 for the HP Photosmart C4680 and rise to £199 for the HP Photosmart Premium. The HP Photosmart Plus will be available this month, with the remaining printers expected to be available in October.
