Nokia Asha 210 with WhatsApp button

Nokia has announced its budget Asha 210 which has its own dedicated WhatsApp button.

The Asha 210 is Nokia's latest Series 40 mobile phone and comes with a physical Qwerty keyboard and a dedicated WhatsApp button. Nokia said it will go on sale in the second quarter for $72 (around £50).

At this price, it won't be taking on the likes of the iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4. Unfortunately there's no word on a UK release date yet but we'll let you know when we hear anything.

Nokia said: "The great quality keyboard will be a favourite with text addicts. As well as WhatsApp, the phone comes with Facebook, Twitter and support for email accounts, so you’ll never be more than a few moments away from status updates, chat and messages."

As well as a dedicated WhatsApp button, the Asha 210 also comes with Facebook and Twitter. The handset has a 2.4in (320×240) screen, a 2Mp camera and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Nokia claims a battery life of up to 46 days standby time and the device will be available in a dual-SIM model. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. Like the Nokia Lumia range, the Asha 210 will come in yellow, cyan, black, magenta and white.

"The Nokia Xpress Browser uses cloud-based technology to reduce web pages by up to 90 per cent of their size. You’ll also find the Nokia Nearby web app to help you discover local sights, restaurants and other points of interest." added Nokia.
