The Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 should be announced today, but they could be joined by a couple more Nokia Android phones that sit just a little lower down the line. The Nokia 7 could be a mid-range smartphone with a lot to offer. (Also see: Nokia 2 rumours.)
When is the Nokia 7 release date?
A Nokia launch event has been confirmed for tonight at 7.30pm (16 August). It's widely expected to be the Nokia 8 unveiling, but we could also see the arrival of the Nokia 7 at the event. If not here, the Nokia 7 should be announced at IFA 2017 in early September.
How much will the Nokia 7 cost in the UK?
Sat in the line-up between the £219.99 Nokia 6 and the Nokia 8, which is thought to cost around £500, the Nokia 7's price will fall somewhere in between.
According to MySmartPrice in India the Nokia 7 will cost 17,990 RS, which is around £218. Expect to pay a little more than that in the UK.
What are the rumoured new features and specifications?
The Nokia 7 is tipped to come with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or 660 processor. Either would be an improvement over the Snapdragon 430 found in the Nokia 6, but a downgrade on the Snapdragon 835 expected to be found inside the Nokia 8.
The chip will likely be paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (plus microSD support up to 256GB) and a 3,000mAh battery.
A 5.5in full-HD (1920x1080) IPS display should feature, plus cameras rated at 8Mp (selfie) and 16Mp (primary).
This being a Nokia, we also know it will have a premium metal design and a pure software experience that comes with timely operating system updates.
We'll bring you more news on the Nokia 7 as we hear it.
