Medion has launched a 1.2kg mini notebook with the Hello Kitty character emblazoned all over its lid. The limited edition Windows XP Home Edition netbook costs £329 and comes in either black or white.

Aside from the striking design on the chassis, the S1211 is a fairly run-of-the-mill netbook. It's a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 machine with a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The Medion Hello Kitty mini netbook has a 10.1in TFT widescreen display with a resolution of 1,024x600 pixels, integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics and a pair of stereo speakers.

Medion S1211 Hello Kitty netbook Connectivity is provided by an 802.11n router and a USB Bluetooth 2.0 adapter, you get a webcam and an SD, MMC and MemoryStick card reader. Medion equips the XP Home Edition machine with copies of Corel WordPerfect Office X3, CyberLink PowerDVD 7 and a trial version of Bullguard's internet security software.
