Griffin has unveiled this funky device for the latest version of Apple's iPod Nano that ensures users can wear the digital music player on their wrist.

Reminiscent of the iconic 'slap bracelets' from the 1980s and 90s, the Griffin Slap is a flexible, spring-steel band wrapped in a thick layer of soft silicone. Simply open the Slap so its flat, insert your iPod Nano into the case and then slap it onto your wrist. It automatically adjusts to fit the exact size of your wrist.

The iPod's dock connector is protected but headphone port remains open so you can plug in your earphones and listen any time. The devices also ensures your Nano doubles as wrist watch too. Simply press the Sleep/Wake button to display the time on the device.

"Anyone who grew up in the 80s and 90s remembers the slap bracelet," said Melissa Lapsley, head of User Research at Griffin. "Fashion trends are cyclical, as seen by the return of New Wave fashion and new wristwatch trends. Slap for iPod nano is an opportunity to take something nostalgic and do something fun and unique with it."

Available in a range of colours to complement the colour of you iPod, including red, blue, green, pink and yellow, the Griffin Slap is priced at £19.99 and available now from Griffin's online store.
