If you're half as excited about Euro 2012 as me, you'll want to get all of the 30 fixtures on your Android smartphone. Here's a quick guide showing you how to sync the Euro 2012 fixtures with your Android device. See also Best Android Apps.
There are two options available for getting the Euro 2012 fixtures on your Android smartphone; one way is to download one of the many apps that are available and check manually each time you want to see who's playing. But you might as well just put a bookmark to a sport's website in your smartphones web browser if you're going to do that. Visit Group test: what's the best smartphone?
The way that we would recommend you import the Euro 2012 fixtures to your Android device is by downloading a free .csv file with all of the fixtures in, from one of the many website's they are available on.
However, if you download a free .csv from the internet there's a strong chance that it will come with a small piece of advertising; it will probably be nothing more than the website where you downloaded the fixtures from. This isn't a big deal, but if you don't want these fixtures to appear on your Android phone, then all you need to do is open the .csv file in a spreadsheet editor (i.e Excel) and then delete any columns you feel you don't need.
Here's how you sync the Euro 2012 fixtures with your Android device:
Find a website that is reputable and has a Euro 2012 fixtures .csv file to download. We found that the Football Supporters' Federation had a good one that was free to download.
Sign in to Google Calendar using your Gmail email address on your desktop PC or laptop, and click on the down arrow next to 'Other calendars' on the left hand side of the page. You then need to click on 'Import calendar' and select the .csv file you downloaded earlier.
Open settings on your Android device. Click on 'Accounts & sync' and then under the 'Manage accounts' heading make sure that your gmail account is set to autosync. Finally open calendar on your Android device and make sure your gmail account is set to synced and visible.
It's as easy as that. Enjoy...and don't forget to cheer England on - they need all the help they can get.
