For the second time W8.1 has stopped working ; this time the computer reports
that the disk is 'locked ' Any clues how to resolve this problem please - via DOS perhaps? Note, I have gone back to W7 in sheer frustration !
This error occurs on UEFI enabled PCs and usually means the boot record is corrupted
see here do a start up repair
Many thanks for your help Fruit Bat. None of the Dos commands resolved the problem - are we surprised ?
I will not use 8.1 again and will await for version 10 - updating from W7.
