Windows 7 Ready Boost, USB or SD Card?

I have a Net Book running Windows 7 with 1GB of RAM. Using Ready Boost,is there any advantage in speed using a 4GB USB memory stick over a 4GB SD Card, which is the best?

Neither, forget Ready Boost it's a waste of time. Far better to invest in a 2gb memory module for your netbook.

I agree with LinH.

Let us know your netbook's name & model number if you'd like some RAM suggestions. G

Crossbow7, the model is Medion Akoya E1222. I would I would rather replace the exsisting ram if that is possible.

I don't think you have much choice but to replace the existing 1gb ram with a 2gb module. I stand to be corrected but I'm pretty sure that netbooks only have one slot for memory.

Look at the Crucial website, you won't go far wrong with whatever they recommend.

Like LinH says, 2Gb module only & Crucial offers these click here for it (£28-29).

But these will be fine as well (delivered prices):

£23 Kingston 2GB 667MHz DDR2 click here

£24 OCZ 1GB DDR2 PC2-5400/667MHz click here

£25 Corsair 2Gb DDR2 PC5300 click here

Sorry, ignore the OCZ 1Gb suggestion! G

Thanks all, I will give your suggestions a try.
