Windows 10 upgrade with new pc build next month.

Hello folks

Possibly some very obvious queries here, but I just want to be sure! :)

My current pc, that I built in 2009, runs Windows 7 Pro. A proper boxed version. Next month I'm going to be building an exciting new X99 machine! But I'm just wondering what's the best strategy for upgrading from Windows 7 to 10.

If I upgrade on my current machine when Windows 10 comes out will that be my 'free upgrade' used up? Or will I still be able to install Windows 7 on my new machine, and then upgrade to 10 again?

Or should I NOT use my upgrade while on my current machine, then build the new pc, install 7, then upgrade to 10?

Does that make sense?

Thoughts welcome!

Thanks.

That's the way I would go
