Win7 and anti-virus cover in XP mode?

I'm running windows 7 64bit. I have a trial version of McAfee anti-virus running. When I use Windows XP mode to run an older program it notes that I do not have anti-virus installed. I used to use AVG free on my old XP machine however should I download and use AVG to cover the time when I am running in XP mode or will this cause conflict with McAfee in win7?

You do need separate AV for Win7 and XP mode. I run MSE on Win 7 and Avast in XP mode without any problems, don't see why what you suggest wouldn't work.

Thanks jja244. Have installed AVG.
