Win 7 Desktop Shortcuts Re-organising Themselves

I have mentioned this problem before - and it's still going on. I like my shortcuts placed in groups - all MS Office together, Anti-virus etc. Just recently though the groups break themselves up - even as I'm watching! (It hasn't always done it by the way. I must have used this comp for at least a year with no problem - so something has changed).

I can move the shortcuts into groups - and add other ones to docs I often use. But, either when booting up, or recovering from sleep mode, the Desktop refreshes and the shortcuts return to the original positions and the added ones disappear.

How can I stop this - it's incredibly annoying!

Right click on screen. Select View and sort options and sort according to your wishes.
