wi-fi problem when laptop wakes up

Hi, My HP Pavilion dv6 has developed an annoying fault. I'm running windows 8, having upgraded from 7, but am unable to install 8.1.

This problem has started since then, not because of the upgrade.

When I boot-up, my wi-fi connects automatically. If I shut the lid down and put in in sleep-mode for the first time after booting up, them when I log on again everything is fine. However, every time after the first, when I log on I have to manually reconnect my wi-fi. First time the "connect automatically" box is ticked but after that it's not although I tick it every time.

It's only a little problem I know but it's really annoying me that I cannot cure it!

I have the same problem that you have. Windows 8 on brandnew Samsung ultrabook. At first it worked fine, after a couple of months (constantly updating Windows 8) it started. I got used to it that I have to reconnect every time, also after power outs we have here.
