Which Microsoft Windows 7 should I choose?.

At present I have W7 64bit Home Premium, and contemplating upgrading to W7 Pro or Ultimate on another computer. I am able to purchase both these products at about the same price, but its a case of deciding which one, and whether to have the 32 or 64 bit versions.

I have checked on Wikipedia and Microsoft websites, which provide a good comparison list, but would like a second opinion, before making possible purchase over the next few days.

Any pointers gladly appreciated.

This shouldn't be a difficult choice. If the other computer is capable of running the 64bit version, go for that. If it isn't, don't.

If you install the 64bit version you should be aware that it will run in 32bit mode when using software that was designed for a 32bit environment.

As for deciding been the Pro version or Ultimate, that's something only you can judge. You've seen the comparison chart.

I think that I have settled for the 64 bit Pro version of Windows 7.

Was looking at Windows 8, but decided against.
