Vista Upgrade Advisor

On 26 May 2006 I used the Vista upgrdae advisor to check if my PC was Vista compatible. I have now used a Vista upgrade advisor sent by Microsoft during their weekly update and it stops halfway though the scan as it advises that an old version is stil in place. I cannot find this version by using a search. What else can I do ?

It should be in add/remove programs as Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor. It's probably best to remove everything you find in add remove with that title and reinstall afresh.

Thanks. I received the following message when attempting to delete. C:documents and settings\temporary internet files\content ie5\85l65u41\vista upgrade advisor [1].msi cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again or try to find the installation package "vista upgrade advisor [1].msi" in a folder from which you can install the product microsoft windows vista upgrade advisor. ??????
