Can someone tell me if somewhere in vista you can alter the size on the hard drive restore points?

In xp there was a slider that you could use to resize it

Vista and system restore can have a habit of using to much harddrive space, using this tip will reduce the space here

System restore in Vista is interesting.

Interesting because it will take as much space as it needs and carry on doing so. Should we be worried?

Well no. The reason is that SR will carry on taking what it needs until it is needed by something else at which point it will give up space until it reaches a point when it cannot give up any more without compromising it's reason to be there, which is to protect us.

So, yes it's aggressive but not to the detriment of the system as a whole. If that makes sense!
