Vista or Vista (x32) or Vista (x64)

I have recently took delivery of a new PC, the Advent T9509 running Vista. I am now in the process of downloading a couple of drivers for the peripherals. When I go on to the peripherals drivers’ page, it asks for the OS. i.e.Vista or Vista(x64), which I presume is 64 bit.

How do I tell what my new PC’s Vista is, I believe it has something to do with the processor and can be Vista, 32 bit or 64 bit. The processor in the T9509 is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.

I did download a Vista driver last night (not x64, for my printer and it seems to have gone alright. But was just wondering if maybe it should have been the x64?

Many Thanks in advance.

it refers to which operating system you are using. If you are the standard 32bit vista operating system, then just use the drivers for that.

got to welcome centre> view computer details> show more details, it will tell you under system type.
