vista firewall

Is the Vista firewall any better than the XP one or is it advisable to get something else ?

The Vista firewall is a two way firewall rather than inbound only for XP. How it compares, well I have not read side by side comparisons.

I haven't added a third-party firewall to my install. Remember also that if you use a router, you've got a hardware firewall. I might run Shields Up sometime today to see what that reports but I think I'm pretty confident with the Vista + hardware firewall. The fewer things on my system the better, I feel. I want to keep this install as clean as possible.
