Hi
Hope there is someone that can help me otherwise my pc is going out of the window.
I get the BSOD at least twice a day, I have tried everything, system restore, updated drivers, bios etc, nothing works. Seems to be since I updated the ATI Catalyst control software, have tried reverting back to original but no joy.
I have a Dell Dimension C521, OS - windows vista business.

This is a copy of the last weeks error problems.

Please guys your help would be most appreciated.

  Pine Man 19:35 24 May 2008

Looks like the original only came with 1GB RAM, which isn't really enough for Vista.

Is that the case with yours?

Did it run ok until you updated the Catalyst control software.

Is it still under warranty?

  nuker 19:58 24 May 2008

Hi Pine Man
Thanks for your reply, hope this helps.

Yes it is 1 GB RAM.
It was running fine until I updated the Catalyst Control software.
No its not under warranty.

  Pine Man 08:53 25 May 2008

I believe that the Catalyst Control software is for your graphics card. It may be worth completely uninstalling your graphics card software/drivers and running it on Windows generic drivers to see if this resolves the problem.

If it does then reinstall the original drivers or try updated drivers.

I do think you need to double up on your RAM at some stage, as 1GB is a bit low for Vista.
