Ok, I have installed powerdvd and Nero. After rebooting I get to the user screen with my name but the mouse nor keyboard will let me enter anything into the password block and I am unable to toggle the page. However if I f8 and enter bios both work fine. Fortunately after cloning my new ssd I have not deleted my hdd and may have to re-install everything again unless one of you clever perps can give me a solution. Thanks in advance.

Do a start up repair

sounds like windows isn't loading KB and Mouse drivers.

or can you boot to safe mode and install drivers there?

Start up repair has the same effect. USB mouse keyboard enabled for efi bios. Lights flash but no input from either when requiring password. So I have disconnected ssd and reconected hdd. Windows ran an win32 update/congigure and all works. oc failures. what I plan to do is try the ssd again if not, I think I should revert to HDD, reformat SSD then carry out the cloning again. ideas? Thanks.

Re-cloned the SSD and all works, probably caused the fault myself as I did not restart between installing versions of PowerDVD and NERO 14.

Still up and running so finders crossed.

Thanks again.
