I have not found this mentioned anywhere on this forum and it may!! be of interest to Vista users

Vista partitions / drives can be copied using the True Image Boot disc (v8)without having previously installed the program in Vista. I have since bought v9 with a free upgrade to v10 (vista compatible) which is now installed.

Just boot from the bootdisk and all the usual options are available.

I have vista installed on a stand alone HDrive and have saved TI copies to a USB backup drive, and successfully reinstalled.

I really like Acronis. It's my preffered method for recovering my computer if I need to (Usually when i've been experimenting!)

It'll come in handy when i'm trying to install applications on Vista that may not work
