Torrents/p2p/imewire etc...safe on vista?

Are such programs as limewire,azureus and othe rp2p programs safe to use on vista. From what i have heard Vista autodeleted the programon installation.

You're misinformed. Though you should of course be careful with what you download via torrents and p2p applications.

Vista doesn't police your software installations - well, except of itself, obviously, with WGA.

I'm in agreement with Miss B on this one, retro_hood. I can't vouch for Limewire, but I have installed and ran (run?) a couple of different torrent clients. I know Bitlord works (but don't like it much) as does utorrent. As for Azureus - I'm pretty sure that works because you can get a sidebar gadget for it from the windows sidebar gallery. Which could, I suppose, be handy in much the same way as the clock gadget saves me having to glance down to the bottom of my system tray to see what time it is. What will they think of next eh? :)
