spyware & antivirus in vista

  sunny staines 16:58 18 Sep 2006

My PC has Dual Boot the XP Drive is protected by NAV &various antispyware.

On the Vista Drive I only have the vista firewall & Windows Defender.

1] can another antivirus run on a different hard drive in this set up as norton does not support vista even the 2007 version does not seem to run it either.

2] anyone know if any of the free antispyware runs on vista. the vista upgrade throw up ewido. thinking about A2, Spybot S&D, Adaware SE.

spybot 1.4 works fine with Vista. Have been using it on the PRE-RC1 5536 copy and am now using it on RC1 5600.

thanks for the link.

if i install avg on the vista drive will that cause any problems with norton av on the xp drive?

no. I have Norton on my C drive with XP and AVG on my D drive with Vista. As long as their seperate drives with 2 different operating systems you'll be fine.

worried about loading it in case of problems so checking with experienced users first.
