Shortcut Overlay Remover

There used to be a program for removing the 'shortcut' arrows from desktop icons in XP. Does anyone know of such a program to remove them in Vista?

I have tried Windows Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover, aka FxVisor, but it won't work on my PC.
Any others out there?

"TweakVI" will remove them - click here

Thanks for you very quick response.

Have you actually used it as I believe there were some horrendous problems a few months back with this prog and Vista?

Yes, I used it primarily to remove the shortcut overlays and haven't had any problems with it.

Good enough for me!

I have used the FXVisor programme on two machines with no problems at all.

brundle - This is just a couple of links to TweakVI and FxVisor. I've tried both but no go.

SteveWH - I have tried this several times and cannot get it to work at all.

Maybe the overlay arrows aren't so bad after all :-)

Maybe I had a newer version - it didn't look like yours.

I'll download it again and see what happens.
