last i heard it was delayed from end of 2010 to sometime in first quarter of 2011.

but there appears nothing in it for home users and just a few tweaks for server 2008. do not see the point in releasing it till they have something useful to add.

and 64bit file 7601.17514.101119-1850_Update_Sp_Wave1-GRMSP1.1_DVD.iso size

Not sure if good suggestion?
Why not wait for official release.
Genuine Windows; and Microsoft will update as necessary.
As I said in previous post, a slipstreamed disc looms yet again for the ability to 'repair' Windows.

whats the improvements?

would not touch torrents.

I have installed it on two OSs ,every thing working fine .its the genuine (digitally signed) article . I am currently looking around to see exactly what has been added ,but apart from the fact that a huge number of files have been modified by it ,and its running very smooth .I dont yet have a list of fixes/patches...tweaks etc.
it has been said it will be released officially later today or tommorrow. either way it seems highly likely to be widely available within a few days .

likely tomorrow (Friday 21st),there don't seem to be much in the way of improvements

it appears to be a compilation of all the hotfixes and previous updates , there is evidence of support for some new and upcoming technologies and some files to help in the detection illegal copies etc .on the up side ,I have been running it several days and there appear to be no problems in the way of bugs or loss of speed or reliability .
it will take some time to work out just what is in this service pack ,I see lots of modified system files within the main OS , I expect it will filter out what we gain from it over the next few weeks.

sp1 put back again from first quarter 2011 now to first half 2011.

is there a problem, or stalling till ie9 comes out of beta.
