after having a problem with Mcafee security centre which I resolved by uninstalling/reinstalling.In between the reinstall as a tempory measure i installed AVG Free. Having resolved the issue with Mcafee I then uninstalled AVG free also removing all files/folders and a regedit of all things AVG related. However after reinstalling Mcafee when I go to Security Centre and check under malware protection/virus protection i am informed that:multiple antivirus programs report that they are turned on and upto date!clicking on'show me the anti virus programs on this computer' confirms that AVG 7.5.519 and Mcafee virusscan are both on. How can this be if AVG is completely unistalled.

If the system returns "WMI repository is not consistent", run this command:
The first time you run this it will fail. (It will issue stop commands to the services causing it to fail. It might take a couple minutes for the services to shut down). Run the command again. You actually may have to run it 3 times before it finally runs and completes on its own.
