If I right click on my computer and click "manage" then look through device manager, its all listed there correctly. However I dont know why its under "properties"....

I opened Adobe CS3 and it didnt recognise the processor and said the performance may suffer...

Are your motherboard drivers updated and WHQL certified?

I didnt update anything specific for the motherboard. I just installed windows.

It is recognised if I go to "manage" when I right click "my computer" but it's not there when I go to "properties".

I think it did say it once before but it's gone now. Just wondering if it was one of the windows 7 updates. I have installed quite a few since installing.

this problem seems to have escalated.

I had a watermark appear at the bottom right of my desktop saying "windows 7, build 7600, this copy of windows is not genuine"

Following this and some research on google, I tried to activate windows using the cmd prompt (since there is no info if I right click on "computer").

This has now resulted in a black desktop, NO watermark, but I dont think windows is activated yet.

please help!

Can you get to control panel then 'system and security' then system?
If so scroll down a bit to 'Windows activation'.
It's different to XP.
Type your key in.

Try safe mode (with internet connection) if windows won't load properly.

It didnt work at all.

Reinstalled windows altogether.

Very irritating and the windows 7 experience is far from smooth!
