I have got a Windows Vista Home Premium preinstaled on laptop Advent 9117

It's branded by The TechGuys in UK.

I wanted to use a Full Destructive Recovery

After I get a laptop I created new partition D:

Will it get deleted? Everybody says yes...

How to reinstal vista from hdd without creating only one partition (=deleting new created partition)

Does normal Windows Vista instaltion doing recovery partition too?
Because I guess I could borrow a dvd or cd with vista home premium and instal it with a my licence number. But now I got it branded from The TechGuys. Will it be still legal?

Please anserw me.

right! destructive recy will wipe everything and keep partition (factory settings) if you have (burnt or otherwise) system disks you can remove the recovery partition by right click computer> manage. this will give you 1 drive and free up space on the hdd, if you have burnt your own system disk from tools it will put the partition back.
unless you have a retail copy of vista i doubt if you can install it.
hope this answers some questions, why do you need to do this?

I wanted to instal clean vista, because I have got problems after instaling some dll files, normal repair option doesn't help.

I got problems with sites in php, some freezing etc.
Hijackthis doesn't see anything, Combofix either.

So that's what I wanted to do.
Keep partition with my files which is nearly 80Gb.
(Burning on dvd..? no way!)

Don't know how the producent didn't thought about it...

Any other clues?

thx

Can anyone say me what is that file C:\Applications\oem\DVD.iso?

Maybe it's a clean version of the new instaled vista? I mean image of partition C:

Anyone knows??

Now, the clues what I have got are:
-I can download a Vista Home Premium from internet and put my key, but on ms forum they said this isn't legal...
-I can get an image of clean C: partiton for only my advent.
-You can say me how to instal it from recovery partition without deleting everthing...
Mayby there is some command? That can put me on second step and let me choose partition?

Please help me.

@computerboy1000 Cheers mate :)
