None working ethernet

  bridge+ 13:40 19 Dec 2010

I have an HP pavilion 6599 with Windows 7 (64) and a i5 core. it doesn't accept 2 peripherals (magnifier and camera), so I installed Vista on a second hard and both peripherals installed correctly. BUT now no internet connection with Vista ; problem with the realtek RTL8168/8111 family gigabit Ethernet. Has any kind soul seen this problem ? Is it solvable ?

Hi 124,
(1) In answer to your advice ; Device manager says Network adaptors Realtek etc.
Other devices :
Network controller
PCI simple communication
SM bus controller
All 4 have the warning symbol.
(2) I use a BT modem - all 4 lights are OK.
Perhaps Vista doesn't like a pentium i5 motherboard

These links are for Win 7 by the way but they should work.
No drivers listed for Vista on HP site.
