niggles

hi a few niggles i cant resolve any ideas?
1) power options always reverts to balanced after reboot.
2) windows replaces logitech (keyboard only, not cam or mouse) drivers with it's own randomly, about every three /four days
3) windows security center doesnt seem to monitor in real time.
4) live update keeps finding drivers when after investigation are xp and not vista compatible, so far i have 6 hidden updates for devices which have the correct latest vista drivers as the manufactures website state.
5) lose net connections about once a month or after every update, have to manually set up then revert to auto.
thanks
adam

solution to logitech problem:
disable uac
remove setpoint add/ remove
reboot
control panel
system config
uncheck load system services (general) and check hide all microsoft services (services)
(this enables clean boot)
reinstall set point
check normal (or your usual) start up in msconfig
reboot
no grief!

security center reset:
start>> all programs>> accessories
right click command promt
select run as admin

type carefully and enter after each line (or copy and paste)
net stop winmgmt
cd /d %windir%\system32\wbem
ren repository repository.old
net start winmgmt

exit command prompt go into security center you will be prompted to turn it on and it should now show correct info.

there should be a reboot after (this enables clean boot) obviously
