Does anyone know of a good mp3 player with a line in for recording straight from a sound desk. I know you can get them with line in but I need a good one, anyone have any recommendations

Sorry, Legolas, I bought a Vivitar DMD P20 last year. Has a 20GB drive and a line in/out. video out and allsorts of goodies, but...
Can i find where to buy one now? No I can't! I've had a trawl through various sites and can find nothing that says it has a line in.

Thanks for the reply Giant68 I also found a site that recommended an iriver 320H but it appears to be discontinued.

However, it is still listed as a product on the vivitar website click here but they will not sell directly to you. Maybe a local vivitar dealer will be able to get one?

Creative Zen V Plus, line in as well as video, mp3 and built in radio, my Nano now resides in the bottom drawer.

Let me add voice recording (memo) no mic required (built in)to that list of goodies, as well as photo viewer.

De Marcus™ is the recording of a good quality as this would be the main use for this MP3 player?

I'll be honest Legolas, I've never used the line in. If it's anything like it's playback quality it should be plenty good enough.

I've just tried it and the results were good except I recorded at 120kbps and think I have the option to record at 160 but can't find it, back to the manual.
