moving files to f drive in win 8.1

I have a recent reinstallation of win8.1 and want to move files to F: drive. Understand to move Users completely causes great problems, so I tried c:\users\name - rt click documents - properties - location - move - selected drive F - ok - yes to copy and replace twice.

My drive is partitioned C: E: F:. Using the instruction above caused a second F: to appear in the drive listings and did not copy documents to the existing drive F:.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong - or - is it normal for this to happen?
