I have created a file on my desktop wnere I download to.

In XP I could then MOVE them to what ever Drive & File I wanted.

In Vista is there a way to MOVE files ?

Thanks

.

Move command in XP? Why is this question in Vista anyway.

If you Right Drag (Right Click on the file you want to move), hold the Right mouse button down while dragging the file to the required new location and then release the Right mouse button. A drop down menu will appear with an option to Move or Copy etc.

I too missed the old XP move file but have found that it as just as easy to have the navigation pane open (under organize - layout) and then you can drag and drop into the folder that you want.
