Keep getting IP address conflict on my laptop haven got a clue what to do with it please help

Hi try right clicking on the internet connection by the clock on the notification bar and do a repair.

hi when i go into command promt and type in ipconfig/release i get a message saying the requested operation needs elevation

Try right-clicking the Command Prompt then choose to Run as the Administrator that should prompt for elevated privileges.

Click the see hear below, I Googled (requested operation needs elevation)

There will be others who can help with more knowledge than me on this subject.

Providing that you haven't assigned the laptop a fixed IP address then simply turn your wireless router off then on again. That'll force it to reallocate IP addresses to all connected clients and it should fix your problem.
