Keyboard problem on Vista on internet only

Heres an odd one. I noticed this yesterday and again today, I thought I was imagining it but its doing it again. But not at the moment. It was doing it 5 minutes ago.

What it is, and it only happens when I'm typing into IE is that certain keys appear to be missed even although you type them. What I mean is I could try to type " thats fine come on in" and it will come out something like " thas fine ome on n". So it misses out random characters.
Anyone any idea why it does this, it never did this under XP and at the moments its fine but the next time I try to type it might do the same thing again. And its only IE that appears to affected.

I can't put up with this as my typings bad enough already.

anskyber joke or serious? Because I can't put up with it doing this at random.

Yes just in the last 2-3 days but not all the time. I cannot trace it to anything in particular. I thought my keyboard was going duff until you posted here.

Incidentally all this has gone in as it should.

I couldn't put up with it anyway but the fact its intermittant just makes it worse.
As I type this it is working perfectly again.
I wonder if the make of keyboard makes any difference, can't see how but I'm using a cheap A4 Tech Keyworks Office keyboard, and the other annoying thing - which I could put up with is that some of the specialist keys at the top don't work. Its got keys for the media player and volume which worked under XP but not Vista. The other buttons for IE, Email, calculator work normally just the media player and volume ones don't.

i had that, the first time it did it i thought i was tired, i would get random letters and sometimes a block of letters, or 2 halves of 2 words missing, i never put it down to vista, but now you mention it, it doesnt happen any more! wonder what it is?

Well thats 3 of us so all on Vista so there must be something.

Wonder if anyone else has seen this but just thought it was their bad typing.

if you try and use the search on bt yahoo's home page the problem is more exagerated by the way, just remembered that

Your not the only one with this problem.

The keyboard still happens for me intermittently.

On the turning the PC off routine you mentioned in the other thread here is the answer to that annoyance. click here

I gave up and went back to XP. The other faults I could live with but not being able to type I couldn't live with.
