Hi Guys just brought vista premeir home edition I wish to dual boot with xp in case I have problems with vista. I have two hard drives one a 8 gb HD with xp installed this is C: drive and have just formated my second hard drive which is 80gb with three partitions D. E. F.
I wish to install vista on D drive my question is would I be better to disconnect my 8 gb hard drive and install vista then reconnect the 8 gb drive after the install? Thanks Kopite

If you remove the C drive to install Vista you will not have automatic dual-booting, which is perhaps what you want. The D drive will become C.
