help! Deleted word document

  MariaZara 06:44 29 Jan 2015

Hi So i accidentally deleted an extremely important word document. When I use keywords to search the file, the file appears. which indicates that the file is somehow alive. but when i click on it, it shows error that "this file does not exist"

If this file is deleted for good, why does it still appear in search. and my computer search can read the contents of the file, it means it's not entirely deleted.

is there ANY way i can recover it? I have tried data recovery softwares but they are all unhelpful.

PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. help. the file is crucial.

thank you.

If you have Autosave set (it usually is by default) look her to see where the files are saved.

From Word Help

*On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the File Locations tab. In the File types box, click AutoRecover files. Click Modify. If you want to store automatically recovered files in a different folder, locate and open the folder.*

Hopefully you will then be able to track down your file.

Lot if

Why do you consider the posting spam?

A number of links to MS support and then one to a free recovery tool.
