Anybody know of a freeware app that will give folder size in Windows Explorer?

I dont know exactly what you mean ,but if you (for example ) click (single click ) on any item on the desktop ,you will then if you move your mouse cursor over any item or folder ,icon application file, etc. within that folder or desktop see the size of that item or folder displayed along with the name ,date.

It is strange that if you have a folder on your desk top and hover your cursor over it you can see, amongst other things, it's size. However the same folder in Windows Explorer shows nothing unless you right click and select properties.

Does this help? click here

"I dont know exactly what you mean"

I mean something like "Foldersize" from SourceForge, which is also Pineman's suggestion, and which I've been using for some time. It puts another column in Explorer giving folder sizes just like file sizes.

Unfortunately it doesn't work in Win 7.

morddwyd, I answered this query in your previous post click here requesting the same, but I guess they weren't what you were looking for. G

My apologies for the double post - I'd quite forgotten the previous one.

Another example of senile decay!

I'll have to look at "My Postings" in future.
