First Time Builder - Cant find the graphics card

  Gav5 17:15 25 May 2007

I've just built a new system with the following spec :
Vista 64
falality fp in9 sli
Intel E6600
2 Gb DDR2
500 Gb Sata Hard disc
xfx 8800gts

The problem is, the graphics card does not appear in the device manager and when i put the driver disc in, it says it's not an xfx product and requires digitally signed drivers. Is this because i still need to disable the onboard graphics. or is it a vista 64 problem.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

you'll need 64bit drivers for all your hardware devices. It sounds as if your driver disc doesn't have one.

click here and look for a Vista 64bit driver.

Sorry about the multiple questions, i lost my connection as i posted and didnt think it went through.
Downloaded the 64 bit drivers and that found the card. So simple, yet i thought the disc should at least have opened !
Thanks for your help.

The 64 bit drivers are very new as far as I know and the disk was probably created a few months ago and therefore doesn't have it.
