I've bought an external hdd and have started loading it up,i forgot to convert it to ntfs, DOH,will i have to loose all the stuff already transferred if i convert it to ntfs?

No you wont have to format the drive to convert to NTFS.

Go to Start > Run (or hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press R), type in:


and press OK. Then into the command window, type:

convert D: /fs:ntfs

(where D is your external drive's letter)

and then press Return. Make sure your external drive is plugged in and switched on.
