Is there any way of having one picture cover all screens instead of the same picture on each screen? For example a panorama picture across three screens.

a couple of ways (i use 3 x 20.1 TFT Samsung monitors) with the walpaper spread over all 3.
the easiest way is to use a program called Ultramon from click here you must use the latest version think its V2.7.1 which is usable under vista a V3 beta should be out by april its a very usefull program for people running miltiple monitors, infact virtually indispenceable and the site has a very useful and helpful forum and gallery.
The otherway is to use photoshop or similar and if the image is good enough quality split it into 2 or 3 sections at the same resolution as your monitors or 1 large image ie 3 x images at 1280 x 1024 one on the left screen one on center and one on the right hand screen or 1 x image at 3840 x 1024 (if 3 monitors) or 2560 x 1024 (for 2 x screens) also have a ook over at click here for some very good dual and triple monitor wallpapers
