Defrag drives other than C in Vista

  joeartis 18:05 16 Sep 2007

Can anyone out there tell me how to set up Vista to defrag my removable H drive please? Many thanks to those that can help.

The Vista defragmentation process is a backward step when you look at the original Norton Utilities one from 20 odd years ago.

I think if you plug in the external drive and do the defrag it will do all drives that it finds.

that lists all drives, inc external and takes minutes. you defrag them seperately and it shows you the progress.

yes, if it's a vista's back up leave it alone takes ages and makes no difference whatsoever!
