Why don't keyboard manufacturers produce a single key for"www.".
Save a lot of finger tapping over a lifetime..

With IE you don't need to. Just type in the web address (eg pcadvisor.co.uk) and it will fill in the rest for you !

  Arthur Scrimshaw 21:51 03 Jun 2005

actually that didn't work - does for a lot of sites though :D

Oh no! Thought about patenting my idea so I could make millions!

This means I'll still have to get up at 04:15 every morning untill I retire.

Some hopes for my millions then?..lol

  Pooke 21:57 03 Jun 2005

try this

if you just type the name eg google instead of www. google .com and hold in ctrl and hit enter it'll add the rest for you.

or if you hold shift and hit enter it'll do it with the .net appendix!

in firefox anyway

Surely it would be easier to have a one stroke key?

  Pooke 22:09 03 Jun 2005

yeah but 2 ain't bad? anyway:

I have a logitech keyboard, media wired one and I just programmed a keystroke assignment to f11 for the above and it worked. typed in askjeeves pressed f11 and it filled in the rest of the address.

If you really want to add another button on to your PC may I recommend this instead click here

£14.72 is too expensive for a one stroke key.I would only charge a quid!

Totally-braindead, my "one stroke" would be useful?

  Pooke 22:20 03 Jun 2005

then you'll have to make do with a 2 key command, totally-braindead that's the perfect thing for my missus......bookmarked the site to order one!

is the site legit?

thanks
