Lots of people - mainly young people - will vote for ideals, rather than for detailed, sometimes mundane social policies. Young voters are often politically unaware, or apathetic, or both, and may not be that interested in a lot of stuffy politicians talking about the problems with the NHS. They want people who'll talk the kind of talk that we all indulged in during those long evenings spent in the student bars at universities and colleges; evenings when the country's problems, and the solutions to them, seemed crystal clear.
Those voters might quite like the kind of vague idealism being peddled by Jyrki J. J. Kasvi on behalf of the Green League. I expect to see him pick up quite a few votes - after all, he strongly trusts in love, and everyone knows that love conquers all.
