Wouldn't touch Sky - Freeview has plenty enough channels, and if there's anything on Sky only that I want to watch I can either pop round to the inlaws or buy the whole series on DVD for much less than a month's subscription...
Some of us do not have the privilege of getting free view just 4 basic channels and that only happens if it's not raining or snowing. So we have no alternative but to have Sky., so think yourself lucky.
Any way there are some very good programmes on Sky if you only look.
It's not all bad. I got Sky for the football but don't subscribe to all the channels. I like House and the next series of Mad Men will be on Sky Atlantic which also has a few gems such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Sopranos.
Gave up watchin TV bout year ago, save myself £145 a year and dont miss it one bit. Can get 30 english channeals to watch online if want to for free, and there is always BBC iplayer ect. Also can download and watch all the american series that are shown on Sky weeks before shown over here.
