Jack Law, of Alcohol Focus Scotland, described it was a "cynical marketing ploy" and said: "We want to know why a brewer would produce a beer almost as strong as whisky."

Would you buy and drink this?
I think the price would put off some people.

At £30 for a 330ml bottle it's unlikely to be bought by the sort of person who downs WKD like there's no tomorrow.

To be honest I had some of their Tokyo imperial stout last year at 18.2% and it was rank, I don't think this one will taste any better...

"We want to know why a brewer would produce a beer almost as strong as whisky."

Because at the time the SNP Government were thinking of introducing a minimum price for alcohol (since wiped out by the drunken sots in the Labour, Tory and Lib Dem parties!) and they thought their price, even with duty, would be competitive!
