First gritter has just gone past the house!

Is it too much to hope that your council (and all the others) have stockpiled enough salt to last through the winter and avoid a repetition of last years rationing?

its only 5c here in staines but the wind is cold, is snow forcast?

  rdave13 20:55 27 Nov 2009

Not seen one yet but last year our council were exemplary at gritting and keeping the roads clear.

Maybe Snow on high ground soon. (Peak District)

Almost December and no frost here in the south east yet. My Fuchsia cuttings are still outside and sprouting buds.

Snow already on HIGH ground, Cairngorm and Ben Wyvis. It's as cold as the mother-in-law's smile here.

F-F-F-reeezing here as well! Then again, West Yorkshire always is!

...at this time of year

"is snow forcast?"

Just frost; don't get a lot of snow here (Fife coast).

Is saying that that tempting fate, I ask myself?

06:50 First snowfall this morning in our village here in Deiniolen, North West Wales. Down as far as we are, 800 feet above sea level. Mountains are white now. Beautiful sight.

Goody, proof of a white Christmas then.
