The simple answer is that the facilities are inadequate.

so when a place is busy a queue can build up quite rapidly.

In addition, some women may need to visit the loo more often, (particularly those who have had children), and that puts a greater pressure on facilities.

It's just one of those things, and I doubt that we need to have a long discussion about it - there must be a million more interesting subjects to talk about.

I've always wondered why, on a night out or in a restaurant, they have to go in pairs.

  egapup 19:06 25 Apr 2007

Women sit in a cubical which obviously takes up more time.

Edstowe. Not only do they go in pairs, but here they seem to go in groups. I've got a suspicion it's just somewhere to go and have a darn good natter, so that they can run down whoever they are accompanied by etc., pass on the juicy bits of gossip heard. and so on...

the male anatomy allows men to stand up against a wall to pass urine,

the female anatomly requires the female to sit , usually in a cubile to pass urine;

strangerly there was a survey done on tv not so long ago about this very issue OF the time taken

I never stand... I seen some odd docu. on this and 'stuff' goes everywhere..

You are doing well to find a public loo these days.
